Number One in a Series
and many generations after the Genic Murrain…
“Favored are the peacemakers. They shall be named the children of the One."
— Doyen Texts, Chron 5.40.5.9
Meet Starla Mossett. She’s brilliant. Driven. Her passion is to make killing impossible. Or at least reversible. After all, she believes death is just a matter of genetics. Starla is genetically engineered, birthed to take her species into a new future, predisposed for good health, high intelligence, and intense faith—a near-perfect design. Except for her obsession with death.
Starla has devoted a life as a Science Priestess in an orbital temple above Anderia, a planet long a wreck and ruin from a genetic war that started hundreds of years before, a conflict that still rages. The clone terrorists from below were responsible for the violent loss of her adoptive parents. It drives her mission to construct a cellular regeneration model that is key to preventing death altogether. A breakthrough seems imminent, and yet the solution continues to elude her. Experiencing a crisis of faith, she longs for deeper relational and spiritual authenticity with the Designer and Creator of All Things. Challenged by her mentor to fortify her convictions, Starla leaves her research, embarking on a pilgrimage journey to their sacred city on the surface, where a brutal attack leads to her capture by the very enemy she despises.
But nothing is as it seems. These barbaric heathens protect the innocent. The once-heroic Seeker soldiers—her people’s defenders—eradicate families with children. PeaceMakers, the hologanic protector entities that she helped design, wreak terror on everyone. When the radical views of her enemy captor force Starla to question all of history, her people, and her creator, she must confront her allegiances and harness the powers of faith and biogenetics to save two equally deceived worlds from genocide.

Set in the far-off world of Anderia—long a wreck and ruin from the horrific corruption of a genetic plague. Symmetry is a story of hope and restoration; a tale of personal and cultural transformation.
Symmetry PeaceMakers presents an allegorical science-fiction adventure that wrestles with questions of genetic essentialism and religion, while immersing the reader in a vibrant and mischievous world.
