Anderia was once a thriving world, lush with vegetation, rich in biodiversity, and woven together by a complex tapestry of nations and peoples.
At its zenith, the population exceeded six hundred million. Independent sovereign states governed themselves autonomously, united by a dominant religion and a universal language marked by regional dialects. Ancient Doyen texts chronicled their faith, history, and enduring tenets, forming the spiritual and moral foundation of Anderian society.
As the population density grew and technological advancement accelerated, devotion waned, and moral cohesion eroded. Competition for influence and dominance intensified, culminating in a global conflict later known as the Bion Wars.
The war proved catastrophic. Advanced bio-weapons were unleashed that inadvertently resulted in a damaged mesosphere and the Genic Murrain, a self-propagating plague that unraveled organic tissue at the cellular level. More than ninety-nine percent of all life on Anderia was eradicated. Survivors carried severe genetic damage, which was passed on to subsequent generations, permanently altering the planet’s biological future.
